We love a fashionably elegant headboard and today, we wanted to show off a few of our favorite haute headboards from recent projects. You don’t have to break the bank to get a custom look with a headboard these days. All it takes is a little inspiration, the perfect fabric and a staple gun. If a DIY headboard isn’t in your future, look for a great upholstery workroom in your area and show them the look you are after.

One of our favorites,  white silk 7′H tufted headboard. We snagged this gorgeous pieces at a warehouse sale and attached it to the couples existing bed frame. It was the perfect piece to balance out all of the bold color and pattern.

This bachelor pad needed a masculine and sophisticated headboard that wasn’t going to steal the show. We needed a subtle pieces that would balance out the black lacquer pieces and simple pattern throughout the room. We customized this piece from Duralee using a wool pinstripe fabric in a charcoal.

When you want to go bold with color, keeping it simple on the main basics. We love the polyester silk grid pattern on this pieces and it ties in perfectly with the muted metallic wallpaper and wall color.

Girly glam all the way. We purchased this headboard in the standard ivory fabric that it was stocked in, and then transformed it with a Robert Allen blush silk velvet. The tufting looks absolutely gorgeous and this bachelorette can easily re-upholster this pieces if she moves or decides to go with another color palette.

We loved this sunny graphic fabric but needed the right place to show it off. The headboard was the last thing that we finalized in this master bedroom, but it made all the difference.  The subtle color and pattern compliment the bold black, white and yellow color palette of the room and the classic shape keep it from taking over.

From the moment we spotted this gorgeous living room from Clair Thomas’ new Los Angeles home, we instantly fell in love with the bold color palette.  We thought it was the perfect room for today’s Get The Look and a great way to be inspired by bold color. Find your color crush and don’t be afraid to use it throughout your home. This fun space is all about pink and blue hues paired with classic patterns. With all of the cold rain, sleet and random snow days here in Texas, we are very ready for Spring! Florals have been on our “yes” list for a few months now, and we have a feeling that they are here to stay for quite a while. Our latest master bedroom project has major flower power. The Designers Guild Orangerie pattern was the jumping off pattern for this room’s color palette. We used the bold floral on the ceiling, and tied it in below with pillows and a custom ottoman! Looking to add a pop of Orangerie to your home? You can find the pillows HERE.

Powder baths are one of my favorite little rooms to design. They are the perfect place to go bold with color, a graphic wallpaper and a fabulous mirror. I wanted to share a few of my favorites from recent design projects from The Studio. Each of these is a reflection of our client’s style and aesthetic. When we begin to discuss the overall feel for the powder bath, out client’s aways ask for a space that will impress their guests.

This bachelor pad needed a powder bath that felt modern and minimal. Our client wanted this bathroom to tie in with the rest of his home without going to overboard. We brought in oversized art for color and to emphasize the hight ceilings. Simplistic lighitng and accessories keep the room from feeling to fussy. Most men like to keep it simple!

The gorgeous hardwoods need a little something to bring them to life, and this gold metallic graphic wallpaper does just that. Neutral tones create a soothing space and show off that gorgeous freestanding sink. A few polished nickel scones, acrylic accessories and simplistic mirror keep the space from feeling to busy and allows the wallpaper to be the star.

Lavender grasscloth wallpaper and a mint marbled wallpaper on the ceiling were the perfect compliments to the antique table made vanity. The natural grasscloth brings in just enough texture to balance out all of the tile in the bathroom. The art is now the star of the room and industrial touches complete the rustic chic feel that our client wanted.

The ultimate ladies room! We took this powder bathroom from crusty to chic! The black and white hex tile floor were the first design element that we selected and the room just took shape from there. A touch of leopard, a pop of bold fuchsia and a gold starburst light fixture tie into the rest of the client’s studio space.
