Loved seeing one of Pure Wow’s editors write up about Lash Maxx on their site today! Caroline received the perfect set of fluffy lashes from our client Claria recently. She of course gushed about how fabulous the experience was and gave Studio Ten 25 a shout out for the gorgeous space too! You can read all about Caroline’s visit to Lash Maxx’s new studio on PURE WOW!!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the Lash Maxx Studio that will give you the overall feel.  Not much better than black, white, gold and fuchsia accents!!! Of course we had to throw in a little leopard and a few feathers!  Images via: Melanie Johnson Photography for Studio Ten 25

I love looking back at images from the beginning stages of a project, they always remind me of how so many small and even large details can make a major difference.  Today. I wanted to share a few  BEFORE & AFTER spaces from our Cottages & Bungalow’s “Southern Charm” feature.

BEFORE: THE FRONT PORCHThe basics were here, but since this is the front “room” you see as you approach the home. I love how open and roomy this porch is, but it just needed to be pulled together.  The oversized canvas porch swing is perfect for taking a lazy nap on weekends or for extra seating when entertaining.

AFTER: A few oversized pillows made with Perennials outdoor fabric bring in texture, pattern and color to the area. They also make the wood seating a bit more cozy when sitting for longer periods of time.  Custom outdoor linen with bold sequins and beading brought in a bit of glitz and glam to the space while a metallic leather ottoman is the perfect place to prop your feet up!

We have worked with a handful of bachelors, so creating the perfect masculine space has become second nature to us.  Men base their decisions on function first, but as we delve into the design process they begin to understand the important of aesthetics as well.  I love the challenge of creating an entire home for a bachelor, it’s like the entire home becomes their man cave.

This masculine room has the perfect masculine man cave feel and the right amount of sophistication. So we pulled together a few of our favorite pieces to help you pull together this look for the man in your life!!  See links for shopping below!

The latest issue of Cottages & Bungalow’s Magazine  is on news stands now,  and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see one of Studio Ten 25′s projects featured! Who can resist a little Southern Charm? An interior designer (me) and a wardrobe stylist (my client), what a combination!! I think that is what makes this home so special to me. I learned so many things from her, and her perspective on design opened my eyes to how easily fashion and interiors can work together. Our shopping trips together were epic, and it is amazing what can happens in a space when you just let go and don’t force each and every detail.

This Dallas prairie style home had all of the space, natural light and architectural details that our client wanted.  She is a wardrobe stylist and personal shopper here in Dallas as I mentioned earlier, so she has a great eye for stylish pieces and loves taking risks with color and texture.  We spent months shopping for just the right rugs, lighting and accessories to compliment the home and making it a place that reflected her personality and style.  The result is a fashion forward home that screams southern charm!

Narrowing it down to my favorite pieces or favorite room in the home is not an easy task. There are so many special custom pieces and unique details throughout the entire home. If your out and about, pick up a copy and take it all in! We share tips for using bold color and how to layer texture with art and accessories too. The feature also give you a better insight to the changes we made throughout the home without compromising all of the gorgeous architectural details.

Baby Corinne’s nursery is finally complete and we are preparing to photograph the space soon. I wanted to share a little sneak peek of the room with a few of the final touches before it receives the full glamour treatment. With soft blush pink walls,  modern furniture & plenty of special details baby Corinne will hopefully make the transition from Mom & Dad’s room soon!  I promise to share the final images of the room and before and after shots once we have them!

And P.S., that is a mirrored bird mobile you see on the right side of the images!!! It is so baby chic!

Home offices have become a major part of the way we live these days, and they are always on the “to-do” list of our clients. We love designing home offices for our clients, its a great way to create a look and feel that is an extension of the home. Home offices can be a challenge, because they always require we thought out storage and function solutions.

This home office was designed for one of our bachelors. He needed a place that was easy to work in and he didn’t want dark & heavy pieces, so that was a challenge when it came to concealing clutter.  We used pieces from Room & Board to create an L-shaped table desk. I love the crisp white marble tops and modern metal legs. We added storage units on wheels that will make it easy for him to access files and office supplies. A sleek bookshelf brings in a bit of warmth and style, while adding a bit of storage for printer paper and pieces that he may need access to on a regular basis.  Here is the overall look that we presented to him.

BEFORE: This room was just used as a bit of a catch all room. Nothing fancy, but loads of potential and we were ready to make the best off the soaring windows, natural light and fabulous Dallas views!  The perfect blank slate if you ask me!

AFTER: A modern & masculine home office that gives our client plenty of room to spread out and place to store the clutter that can take over an office. And, now he can leave the office door open without being ashamed of what visitors will see as they walk by the room! I LOVE the art from Natural Curiosities, the book collection is the perfect way to add a bit of color, simplicity and an office feel.  Thank you Melanie Johnson for the fabulous images!

One of our current projects has become ready for the final touches and little details that will help us pull it all together. We have put so much time, love and patience into this home over the past year so the final touches are going to be so fun to work on! We are in the process of finalizing art too, and finding the perfect piece has been an adventure. Here are a few shots of the main living space, all of the pattern & texture work perfectly together so getting the art right is a must!
