It’s here!!! The 2014 Fall lookbook for Shop Ten 25 is live! We have pulled together a handful of fabulous tips, inspiration and included a few of our vendors and favorite designers to help us get your home ready for fall. When I started Shop Ten 25 in 2008 with a $100 e-commerce template, I had no idea that it would take off and become a huge part of my life. We are still a small exclusively online boutique, and I love that I am able to fill The Shop with pieces that I love and would actually use in my own home.

We hope you enjoy the lookbook, and we look forward to bringing you more inspiration and design tips as the seasons change!  I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our amazing vendors that keep us inspired and of course to all of the designers out there that work with us to bring great style to their own clients.

And now….it’s time to show it off!!!

Although I obsess with all things interiors most of the time, fashion has always been a big inspiration for me when designing for our clients.  Color, pattern & texture are present in both and wearing a trend or living with it go hand in hand.  Agates,  metal stud detailing, butterflies and abstract prints are all over the runways right now, so we paired the looks with a few pieces from Shop Ten 25.  Now who says your home can’t be fabulous and fashionable?

Happy Friday!

Working with local artist has always been something important to me. I find that sourcing art for client’s homes can be a long process, because art is so objective and personal.  Over the past few years, I have been so fortunate to work with a few local Dallas artist as well as artist from all over Texas.  The communication is simple, and being able to show my clients pieces that they can see being created or adjusted for their home is a fun process.  Today I wanted to share a few pieces from Dallas artist Baron Farha.

His acrylic pieces using Sari Dye are my favorite because you can go with any color palette…and each piece is unique. We asked Baron to tell us a little bit more about the process and of course we wanted to share a few more of his available pieces!

The dye is super concentrated which gives it the vibrancy in colors. The process starts and finishes naturally as the dye free flows within itself and by the use and help of my hands, I am able to create the depth I want by the use of layering. The coolest part of these pieces are that I never know what they will look like until they are dry and complete. I do a reverse process so I am always “surprised” by the outcome. The Acrylic sheets are protected by white film, so until that film is released and taken off, I never know what to expect. The application is mutli faceted and can be used in so many ways. Color’s can be selected by the client and pricing starts at $1550.00.

How is it Wednesday already? We have been working on quite a few awesome projects over the past few weeks, so my poor blog has been a bit neglected.  I think it’s only fitting that I go big with a new project installation video, don’t you?

If you follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you have noticed the shots from our latest bachelor pad project.  Installation day was so crazy, and our client was pretty easy going when it came to accessorizing with bold pillows, sophisticated bedding and gold leafed accents.  Now you know we had to document the big day and show off the entire space with short video.  The images are being edited and I am ready to show it off, so sit tight.  Take it all in…it’s full of manly man goodness!

We are getting close to finalizing the installation at Dallas’ new children’s boutique, Little Hipsters. The wallpaper is up, the draperies are hug and the custom fixtures are in place. I am in love with all of the fun details throughout the space and can’t wait to see all of the chic little dresses and t-shirts fill the space!! Here are a few pictures of the latest progress.

This master bedroom was the perfect balance of sophistication and edgy chic.  Our clients wanted a master bedroom that would be a retreat at the end of a long busy day.  We started by having the room painted Benjamin Moore’s Grey Owl to coordinate with the Clarke & Clarke’s Cameo wallpaper that we selected.  The combination of new paint and wallpaper on the back wall instantly updated the space and gave us the perfect starting point for the room’s design.

BEFORE: Nothing but the bed here folks. It was pretty pitiful, and they eventually used an empty printer box as a nightstand. Poor things, they really needed a place to relax and of course to at least place a lamp! Builder standard peachy walls were the worst part of the room. We loved the existing bed they had, so we decided to change the walls, add a subtle metallic wallpaper to the back wall and rock out the grey and aubergine color palette.

AFTER:  I love how tailored the headboard looks now. The white lacquer nightstands, all white bedding and white Mongolian fur bench gave the room a bright and updated feel. Since we didn’t want to go overboard with the aubergine accent color, we kept it simple with just a few pieces. The glass lamps were the perfect scale for the night stands and mixed well with the textural pattern of the mirrors. A few glitz pillows and a luxurious throw blanket were the finishing touches.

I love being surrounded by beautiful art and accessories in my bathroom. And, since I don’t share a bathroom with my husband (pretty sure that was the best decision we have made) I am able to bring in the girly pieces that I love. Here are a few tips for creating a bathroom or vanity space that will look like a million bucks and make getting ready something to look forward to.

#1-Adding a tray on the counter keeps my perfume bottles and other small skincare containers organized

#2-Pretty acrylic containers store my cotton balls, q-tips and other items that I use on a daily basis.

#3-Bathrooms are a bit more challenging to bring color into, but adding a smaller scale lamp and framed art pieces will always do the trick.

#4-And my favorite way to create a customized look, change out that standard mirror for something more decorative on the wall.

We are launching a new series and way to find fabulous pieces for your home at Shop Ten 25 this month!  We call it, Designer Picks and it’s finally ready to show off!  I have asked a few of my favorite interior designers, product designers and local organizations to pull a few of their favorite pieces from The Shop. The Designer Picks section is one of my favorite new additions to The Shop, and I am looking forward to bringing in more designers and creators over the next year. If you know anyone that would love to participate, please send them our way!!

We launch our Designer Picks with one of the most amazing ladies the South, Mrs. Erika Ward! Her design eye is practical and that is why we love her.  She has a way of mixing those practical pieces with her flare for classic chic accents. Her blog, Blue Label Bungalow has been a favorite of mine for years and is full of inspiration and great design tips!

As Atlantas go to for interiors, Erika Ward has a fun and colorful take on interior design. Erika’s work has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens as well as Lifestyles and HGTV magazine. She has chosen some of the Shops most fabulous pieces as her personal style picks. Shop this look only at:
