Home Sweet Home {Project Greenway}
Whoo Hoo!!! We found a new home and we found it fast. It’s amazing how easily things fall into place when you keep the faith. When the home we purchased late last year fell though, I was pretty upset. But if I’m being honest with myself, things were always off from the day we made the offer. Nothing was easy and things were always back and forth until one day, it all fell apart and we couldn’t back out on the sale of our current home.
Dunhaven. I LOVED that home. It was our first home together, its where we expanded our family with our two puppies Caddo & Ivy and it’s where we outgrew the home and knew that we had to eventually move on. I’m a sentimental girl so once I knew Dunhaven was sold, I arranged to have one last memory made and document it!

While driving around one Saturday afternoon, we spotted a “for sale by owner” sign and decided to see if the home was still available. With the Dallas real estate market super hot and super crazy, we didn’t want to get attached to a home that maybe be gone or get into a bidding war. BUT, it was written in the stars and after a quick walk thought we were ready to jump! Two days later, the deal was done and we were preparing to move in a few days later to lease the home until we closed.
On January 9th, 2016, PROJECT GREENWAY was a reality and we couldn’t wait to move in and start planning the remodel. The home was in the process of a small remodel anyway, so we will have to live with a few unfinished spaces until we begin the remodel. But hey, this is way better than bopping around from hotel to hotel. Here are a few pics from the day we found the house. I am so excited for Spring, I can only imagine how darling the tree lined street will be!
