Gallery Wall

We have been busy putting the final touches on our client’s home the past week! I am obsessed with this gallery wall in the master bedroom!!! Because the room is long and narrow, we need to find the perfect way to balance the black lacquered headboard. So we installed this gorgeous black glass Katie chests and let the rest fall into place.

A gallery wall is always a great idea when you need to visually fill a space. It brings in color, texture and helps to create width and height in a simple way.  The finishes touches like the leopard print cowhide chairs, pink agate tray and pink agate pillows tie it all together!  Shop all art: Dahlia Prints, Marilyn Photograph, Chanel Canvas

Get The Look {Covet This Closet}

This closet! I’m in the process up updating a few spaces in our home, and this makes me wonder why our master closet isn’t on my to-do list. Even if we don’t have the room for a chair or ottoman, I feel like new carpet and a fabulous wallpaper will really bring the chic to the space. So, let there be inspiration! Hoping today’s GET THE LOOK will inspire you to bring a few fabulous touches that will take you closet to the next level.

Faux & Fire

Old Man Winter isn’t showing any signs of letting up this Winter.  Although temperatures here in Texas have been in the 70s this past week, we are finally getting cooler temperatures…but it will be short lived. So while the chilly air makes it way into Dallas, I will be throwing a few logs in the fireplace! I love the smell of a wood burning fireplace & cuddling under my favorite faux fur blanket with my puppies.  I’m sure most of us are ready for signs that Spring is on the way, but in the meantime here are a few of our favorite pieces to keep you warm!

Get The Look {Man Cave}

We have worked with a handful of bachelors, so creating the perfect masculine space has become second nature to us.  Men base their decisions on function first, but as we delve into the design process they begin to understand the important of aesthetics as well.  I love the challenge of creating an entire home for a bachelor, it’s like the entire home becomes their man cave.

This masculine room has the perfect masculine man cave feel and the right amount of sophistication. So we pulled together a few of our favorite pieces to help you pull together this look for the man in your life!!  See links for shopping below!

New Year {New Color}

Happy New Year! We are back in The Studio after a much needed break to celebrate the holiday season with our family and friends.  We thought we would start off the new year with Pantone’s color of the year, Marsala. Not our favorite, and it hasn’t been racking up the rave reviews around the design industry. It’s a muddy and muted version of burgundy in my opinion and it just looks flat. I am such a color lover and bold saturated colors like tangerine, emerald and turquoise (past winners) always catch my eye and inspire me to incorporate them when designing.

We pulled a few “Marsala” pieces to see if we could bring back the love for the 2015 color of the year, and here is what we came up with. Not too bad when you pull a few versions of the color together. I would say I am more drawn to the more saturated version of the color. What do you think?
