Simple Stonington Gray
Selecting the “right” paint color for a room is always a challenge. I agree with Emily A Clark when she says “Don’t pick your paint color first. I’m always surprised when I hear someone say they’re going to paint their living room avocado green, but they haven’t picked anything else. To me, paint color should be the complement to everything else (the perfect backdrop), and I try to always choose it last.”
I love Benjamin Moore’s Stonington Gray and have used it in my own home. It is the perfect blue with a touch of gray and I’m always impressed with how well it adapts to the colors in the fabrics and furniture in each room.

Thank you! I’ve been searching for that perfect grey and I think this is it. I have furniture, fabrics and accessories all purchased but choosing a grey that I like and goes well with everything is pure torture. I think you may have saved my sanity.

My challenge now is to choose the right color for my apartment. I agree, paint should never be bought first, so that’s what I did – furnished my apartment and now choosing the perfect backdrop.
Great post, and I love the photos in it
greetings from Millie

I have been looking for the perfect grey for my living room. I just need to switch things up without spending a lot of money so isn’t that why we go towards paint? Thanks for the lovely pictures and name of your paint color.
