Puppies…My Favorite Home Accessory

I am always amazed at how comfortable my dogs can make themselves on any given piece of furniture in our home.  Thank goodness for durable, washable and teflon treated fabrics.  Pet friendly fabrics and accessories are a must around here, I would love a magazine perfect house but that’s just not going to happen around here.

The point of this post?  Well, I walked into our bedroom last night and found this…  The girls pulled the duvet off the bed onto the bench. What? Spoiled, not these too!

The girls would cuddle up and nap together when Ivy was a puppy, but now she is about 45 lbs and sleeps with her legs straight out Caddo just sleeps close.

Ivy is the chair, sofa, bed and doggy bed hog, she get her nap on no matter what. And the snoring is so bad that one of her nicknames is snore bear.

Caddo on the other hand loves her kennel and her favorite places to take a nap are on the end of our bed, the concrete floor in the living room or on a rug. She’s pretty simple, but don’t disturb her beauty sleep because it makes her grumpy. Not much has changed since she was a puppy.

But, my favorite spot is on the sofa with both of my girls.

This is so great. I remember the last picture you sent to me. Dogs are such a blessing to us all. Mine is sleep curled up beside me. I think he has a full-time night job somewhere the way he sleeps. lol

I am new to your blog from Effortless Style and had to pop over after I saw not only your beautiful spaces, but the fact that you are both fashionable and have a love for REAL dogs! We have a field springer spaniel, Ruby, and I’ve been BEGGING my husband for a german shorthair. Maybe these adorable photos of them snuggling will help me persuade him!
