Media Magic
This unit was once two seperate lofts that became one so my clients ended up with two kitchens and two living rooms. We made the best of the space and created a media room in the area with the smaller kitchen. This created a great place to entertain and hang out when throwing a party as well as just hanging out when home. We used all of the existing pieces in the space so the only new pieces were the large photographs, pillows and coffee table.
BEFORE: The space was dark and needed to be opened up to show how large the space is for entertaining. The small dining area was also very dark and since they were not up for painting the walls, we needed to add more light. The current drapes were not wide enough to cover the windows so it made t.v. watching a challenge.
AFTER: Changing the scale of the images on the back wall and adding a few accent pieces and accessories really changed the space and opened it up. My client actually took the images on the back wall from one of his trips, the colors and details were gorgeous. The new graphic print drapes have a blackout lining and will keep the glare out for movie watching. We also added a simple drum pendant to brighten up the dining area too.
Stay tuned for more updates from this loft. We also updated the large kitchen, dining and sitting area on the other side of the loft. Thanks for stopping by!
