Bringing The Turquoise

I’m back…I took yesterday off from the blog to keep my head above water. I have been so blessed to have wonderful clients that keep me busy and constantly inspired and Shop Ten 25 has been keeping me on my toes too. Today I wanted to share another bit of inspiration from a client’s living and sitting room. What started as a simple project with an updated paint color and a few new accessories has turned into a living room overhaul. We posted the inspiration for her master bedroom earlier this week and I am beyond excited to get things in motion around the house.

The front sitting room has a great warm chartreuse sofa as a starting point so we are going to bring in ivory, turquoise and pops of graphic patterns with pillows and ottomans.  Take a look at the inspiration for the room and the final fabric selections.  I love that this room is going to be the first that you see when you enter the home,  it will set the tone for the rest of the home.

Now on to the living room. My client loves pops of turquoise and since we have it in the front sitting room now, we must bring it into the living room…the green comes along too!  The back of the built in bookshelves will be dolled up with a warm turquoise pattern from Kravet and tie in with the huge turquoise velvet ottoman that will double as storage.  Graphic fabrics, a mix of textures and extra seating will make this the perfect family room.

    I absolutely LOVE the shelf unit on the back wall! Can you tell me if it was custom or where it is from? That would be fabulous in my own living room.
    Love all the ideas and inspiration for these rooms! I am such a huge fan of green and blue!

      I’m not sure because this was an image we pulled for inspiration. BUT it is FABULOUS!!! I think it has to be a custom piece.

    Awesome look! My wife and I are using the same colors in our living room project. Ivory loveseats facing each other in front of the fireplace with apple green upholstered Billy Haines-inspired chairs completing the seating group. An ocean blue chair and ottoman in front of the bookcases, with Robin’s Egg blue walls and turquoise lamps on dark wood tables. Where do you recommend shopping for graphic rugs like the ones you show here? We would need at least 9×12′ if not 10×14′ and have only been finding smaller rugs … Any suggestions?
