Weekend Window {The Art of Mary Lee}
A great piece of artwork goes a long way when designing a room. The selection of a piece of artwork is highly personal and completely subjective but undeniably an important element in any room.
For the past several months, I’ve included the artwork of Mary Lee in the shop and I am thrilled to finally feature her in a Weekend Window post! Not only do I offer Mary’s work in the shop but I have commissioned her for multiple client projects through Studio Ten 25 as well. I can tell you that without a doubt that she is a joy to work with and a stunning artist!! Her style is abstract, organic, thoughtful, and energetic. I love using her pieces as a jolt of energy and life in rooms that are very neutral and uncluttered. Take the few pieces below for an example… Keeping your upholstery and accessories simple and monochromatic will give your artwork all the more impact! If you prefer a more layered look, try hanging one of these pieces on a striking tone-on-tone wallpaper… you’ll be surprised at the difference it makes!
Have a wonderful weekend!!
