Trendspotting In Sunny LA
It’s finally official and I am super excited to announce that I have been selected as a SILESTONE TRENSPOTTER this year! I will be heading out to sunny LA in a few weeks to take in all that the DWELL ON DESIGN event offers and doing it with some pretty fab ladies too!!! Countertops, faucets, tile and tons of the latest kitchen gadgets will be on display! Between the fabulous speakers (The one and only Michael Graves!!), touring a few AMAZING show houses and hanging out with the Silestone group I know the inspiration factor will be over the top!
NEW YORK, NY (JUNE 2013) – Silestone (www.silestoneusa.com), a world leader in natural quartz surfacing, will re-ignite its popular Trendspotters program at Dwell on Design, America’s largest modern design event, which takes place June 21-23 in Los Angeles. This year, three new leading designers from across the country will become the 2013 Silestone Trendspotters — on the hunt for the latest products, design innovation and trends.
From inspiring color to creative patterns and innovative textures, together the Silestone Trendspotters will utilize their collective experience and keen eye for great design to instantly report on emerging trends and innovative products at Dwell on Design through their own blogs and social media channels as well as the Silestone digital platforms, using the hashtag#SilestoneTrends. The up-to-the-minute insight will allow other architects and designers who can’t attend to stay informed on the newest products and trends for their design projects. Additionally, consumers and design enthusiasts can get a sneak peak and join in the design conversation on the SilestoneTrendspotters.com where all #SilestoneTrends updates and insights will appear before, during and after Dwell on Design.
This year’s Silestone Trendspotters are renowned designers with distinct and compelling design aesthetics from three important U.S. markets: Chicago, Dallas and Sacramento.
Julia Buckingham Edelmann founded the full-service interior design firm Buckingham Interiors + Design, specializing in historic restorations and homebuilding in Chicago.
Kerrie Kelly is an award-winning interior designer and author who founded Sacramento-based Kerrie Kelly Design Lab in 1995. She has authored two books: Home Décor: A Sunset Design Guide, and the newly released My Interior Design Kit.
And me…Abbe Fenimore is the Dallas-based designer behind Studio Ten 25, combines vibrant colors, rich textures and her own special unique aesthetic to create stunning commercial and residential spaces. She also founded Shop Ten 25, a well-curated online store featuring accessories and designer furniture that she often uses in her own design and home.
