Trendspotting At Dwell
I spent this past weekend getting my Trendspotting on at The Dwell On Design show in LA. I was one of three ladies invited to the inspirational packed weekend sponsored by Consentino and Silestone...and they did not disappoint! I had a fabulous time talking in all of the latest trends with the group!
The Dwell on Design show was the perfect size, packed full of unique and edgy vendors too. Now that I have had a few days to take it all in, I thought I would share my top 10 from the show.
Let’s start with #10 and count down from there….
#10 Favorite LOGICSUN. Their stunning European fixtures caught my eye immediately with their unique shapes and attention to detail!
#9 Favorite ROROS TWEED
Røros Tweed has been weaving high quality lamb’s wool products since 1940 and it was easy to fall in love while taking in all of the super soft texture and modern graphic designs. Selected wool from Norwegian sheep and 100% Norwegian production, combined with collaboration with Scandinavia’s top designers and textile artists, had made Røros Tweed one of the most renowned wholly Norwegian quality brands.
#8 Favorite BLUNT UMBRELLAS It was pretty tough to walk by Blunt’s booth without becoming giddy from their super chic and colorful display! These wind-resistant canopy design lovelies follow form and function to a tee. The blunt tip is apparently not only safer, its canopy is taut and therefore stronger. After watching hundreds of commuters on the streets of London nearly blinded by dangerous umbrella spikes, BLUNT’s inventor, New Zealander Greg Breibner, set out to re-design the most basic form of personal weather protection.
#7 Favorite BRIZZO The fact that they call themselves a fashion brand for kitchen and bath fixtures is enough to pull me in. Not to mention that killer chandelier that was calling my name from across the show floor. Once I made over to the glitzy pieces, I immediately became distracted by those gorgeous faucets! Finally, faucets that actually bring a ton of wow and glam to a space instead of screaming “blah”. Touch smart technology is all the rage..plus it was fun to set them off as I walked by and waved my hands around.
#6 Favorite JCPENNY Classic Hollywood Glamour from their new Jonathan Adler collection was on display at the JcPenny mini show house. Super chic and I loved being able to see the pieces in person. I have been wondering what the quality was like based on the affordable prices, but I was impressed. Great color, texture and an fab little living room to show it all off. So if you are into being happy & chic, I would get to JCP ASAP to snag your favorites!
#5 Favorite FJS PILLOWS Color, texture and fashion inspired. What more do you need in a fabulous collection of pillows? I am obsessed with the pops of color, statement prints and the fact that these little fab pillows are made in LA! Another SHOP TEN 25 addition? YES!
#4 Favorite BENJAMIN MOORE Of course I am a big fan and their new Williamsburg Color Collection does not disappoint. When it comes to selling paint these guys do it right. A wall of chairs, each in a new Williamsburg Color was the perfect way to pull you in.
#3 Favorite POGGENPOHL If you haven’t found yourself sounding it out…This German based company has reinventing life in the kitchen for over 120 years. Sleek, modern and loaded with options to keep you organized while cooking up a storm. The kitchen design experts at Poggenpohl and celebrity chef Eric Ripert recently launched their groundbreaking kitchen concept and it was on display at the Dwell show. The Silestone countertops helped to complete the super sleek and modern kitchen!
#2 Favorite VIBRATIONAL FURNITURE Ummm….excuse me with all of this awesomeness!!! This stunning new collection of unique elemental pieces are one of a kind or by commission. Danna’s pieces bring it..each piece is created with a special nonhazardous solution that allows the various energies to become one energy together and thus a force in your space. #1 Favorite NOALIVING I just about fell over when I walked by their booth! Between the super chic and modern rugs, tribal sculptures and of course those gorgeous Fufu stool I knew I needed to sit down and stay a while…plus my feet were starting to hurt! All I can say is stay tuned! You will be seeing a few of these killer pieces in SHOP TEN 25 very soon!!!
