Thrift Studio Is Back!
I support a non-profit organization here in Dallas called Dwell with Dignity. Dwell with Dignity is a non-profit made up of Interior Designers and volunteers dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty. They provide and install home interiors for families enrolled in programs geared to get them from homelessness to self-sufficiency. The home interiors they provide include furnishings and art, bedding and kitchen supplies, and food in the pantry. They believe that if you can change a person’s environment you change their outlook on life.

Dwell with Dignity’s mission is to help families escape poverty and homelessness through design. One household at a time. In order to keep working toward their mission Dwell with Dignity has a fundraiser twice a year called Thrift Studio. Thrift Studio is a not-like-any-other-thrift-store THRIFT STORE that is open for 30 days only.
I was honored to be asked to design a vignette for the very first Thrift Studio and loving seeing how the event gets bigger and better each year! You can see more detail on the black & yellow office space I designed HERE.
I have the honor this year of being part of the Host Committee for their Preview Party on Thursday, October 11, 2012. And you are cordially invited! It is a special party because you will get to see (and purchase) all of the items for sale BEFORE ANYONE. It doesn’t open to the public until Saturday, October 13 so mark your calendar!
