The Perfect Lamp
I have been obsessed with Mottega’s “design your lamp” feature lately. Handmade in Portugal by European artisans, our lamps are designed to be beautiful and made to last. Unlike many others, Mottega lamps are created from Faience — ideal for decorative ware because we can deliver the perfect shade of color, every time. Every Mottega lamp shape is equipped with a neutral-colored cloth fabric cord cover, so it can blend stylishly with any décor.
While off-the-shelf lamps can suffice, chances are, you won’t find one that is worthy of the word perfect. You might come close, but there will always be something about it that isn’t exactly what you were looking for. With Mottega lamps, there is no compromise because they are completely customized by YOU.
Building your perfect lamp starts with selecting the shape and then they bring on the color choices. I would love to see more turquoise, coral as well as other greens in the mix but it’s a good start. Next you select your base, finial and top it off with a shade.
Here was my fist design….I love the tall an lean shape of the Tresana shape and the simple wood gold leaf base and acrylic finial keep the neutral color from being so blah. I love tall lamps and this one looks a little stubby….
I changed out the shade to the taller option and wow, I love this look better! I can see these in my sitting room next to my high back ivory croc-velvet sofa. Stay tuned because we are designing a room around this lamp and will show off the final look on the blog next week!
I love it! I have been looking for taller lamps! I uploaded some interior pics of my home on HGTV rate my space and the feedback I received was that I needed taller lamps. Thats a ‘tall’ order, as my ceilings are rediculously high in this house and it makes it difficult to get them to scale of the room….*sigh*….thanks for sharing!
