Styling {It’s In The Details}
Styling coffee tables, side tables and shelving in my client’s homes is one of the final steps to pulling the overall look together. It is the time to bring in personal items and pieces that are unique and colorful. Here are a few styling tips to brighten up that boring table or shelf.
-I use a lot of books, I love the extra color that they add to a space as well as the opportunity to create height and a lived in feel too. If you don’t have many around the house, try stopping by your local discount book store or shopping online sites like amazon.com for great deals on your favorites.
-Trays are also a big favorite, when you want to bring in multiple pieces without creating a junky look, trays are a great way to organize them all in one place!
-Fresh flowers. Ok, so we don’t all live in a soap opera set..but crabbing an affordable bunch of flowers next time you run in the grocery store can really make a difference. Flowers make me happy and I love the way they soften a space!
