Sisterhood Of The World {Blogger Award}
This week the Kerrie Kelly from Kerrie Kelly Design Lab nominated me for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. Kerrie nominated me along with nine other bloggers as a part of her list of ten nominees. I first met Kerrie when we were style spotters for Cosentino in 2013. What is your all-time favorite book?
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen is one of my favorites! I love the hardbound cover of this edition, it looks so pretty sitting around! And of course the movie lives up to the book, in my opinion!
If you could have any job, besides the one you have right now, what would it be?
I would work with animals in some capacity. Most likely, it would be for a rescue organization. I was always the child that begged my parents to let me keep the stray dog or lost kitten, I just can’t stand to see an sweet animal suffer and be alone on the streets! My two girls are my “fur-babies” and I love having them with me in The Studio!
What project are you most proud of?
I have a few in mind, but I will go with one that is more recent. I love this bachelorette’s Uptown Dallas home. It it full of color, texture and bold design decisions that had my heart racing with every decision we made. I sill still and swoon when I look through the project images of her home! We had a blast pulling the home together and pushed the boundaries of design, I have never felt so free!
What advice would you give someone who is just starting a blog?
Be true to yourself and really share your voice. Post about things that you are passionate about and your blog will be a success!
What is a new skill you’d like to learn?
Ok, this is random. But, I have always wanted to learn how to play the banjo! I just love the sound it creates and everyone always looks so happy when they are playing it! It gives a song a little extra oomph and makes you stomp your feet!
What is your go-to comfort food?
Spagetti!! I love Trader Joe’s Bolognese Sauce, it is my go-to when I am craving Spagetti!
How would your friends describe you?
Loyal & honest. I love my dear friends and when we are together, there is always laughter!
What does your perfect day look like?
My perfect day depends on the weather. In the winter, I love snuggling up by the fire, eating homemade chili and watching old movies with my husband and puppies. My perfect summer day includes long lunches and plenty of time outside enjoying the long day!
Where do you most want to travel?
I would love to go to back to Italy and explore the southern part of the country. I spend a few weeks there in college, we traveled the northern part of the country while studying and it was gorgeous!
