aoii sorority – university of illinois
The University of Illinois AOII house has always been a showstopper from the outside—its architecture is absolutely stunning. But the interior needed to rise to the same level, making a bold statement while honoring those beautiful historic details. Now, after a full first-floor update, the inside and outside finally feel like they belong together.
We started by drawing inspiration from the home’s architecture, bringing in rich finishes, statement lighting, and custom AOII-branded touches—like a bespoke wallpaper and a tailored stair runner—that instantly give the house personality and pride. Every corner was thoughtfully layered to feel elegant yet welcoming.
One of my favorite transformations is the library—a sophisticated, quiet space that’s perfect for studying, but also cozy enough for small gatherings. By weaving together timeless architectural nods with modern sorority style, we’ve created a first floor that celebrates AOII history while giving the women a fresh, functional home they can be proud of.
