Oval Irish Mirror
I have a serious obsessions with one of my client’s mirrors. I spotted this gorgeous piece and new immediately that it must be hung in their entry. My client’s didn’t know much about the piece but knew that it was one they made an investment in and wanted the piece to be prominatly displayed in their home. Here are a few sneak peek pictures from the entry and more details of their mirror.

I found a few versions of this stunning piece, mostly 18th and 19th century. It’s is being called an Irish Opaline glass mirror and I am in love with the cobalt versions. Places like Christies and 1st dibbs have a few of the mirrors, but with prices from $10,000-$27,000 a pair I think I am out of my league!
This pair from Christies are have alternating colorless and gilt-highlighted glass border around the mirror. A perfect match to the soon to be HRH Princess Catherine of Whales, they would make a great wedding gift for Wills and Kate, don’t you think?!
