My Dream Bed From Peacock Alley
I spent yesterday morning at the Dallas Peacock Alley showroom setting up my dream bed! They asked four local designers and bloggers to come into the showroom and create our dream bed using the fabulous pieces from Peacock Alley’s collection. Along with Suzan Davidson, Joslyn Taylor from DHome / DMoms and Tonia from Chic Modern Vintage the dream beds were taking over the showroom!
Joslyn posted a sneak peak of her bed on the DHome blog yesterday and shared a little bit about her inspiration! So, today I thought I would do the same thing, I see nothing wrong with a little girl crush! I was going for a girly and chic bed that felt sophisticated. Between my husband and our two puppy dogs, there is no way that velvet, silk and pale linen bedding would survive the Fenimore house. So I thought I would go over the top with the chic and throw in a few fun graphics and of course the textural mix of pillows that I would love to have at home!
I ended up creating three looks with the bedding. An over the top look complete with mongolian fur, pops of velvet and metallic touches along with a more structured feminine look and of course a more toned down version that my husband just might agree with! The video and images from everyone’s shoot are in the making so keep an eye out for them on the blog in a few weeks.
