Keeping it simple
My husband and I spent New Year’s Even in Nashville this year. I loved getting a break from Dallas and taking in a scene that reminded me to not take life so seriously and to enjoy the fun and unplanned moments that life has to offer.
But, I’m back in The Studio today and even though my “to-do” list is six pages…yes…six pages…I am looking forward to the new year! This morning I am packing up the last minute details needed for a photo shoot at a client’s home and excited to see where the possibilities go. Then, I’m off to knock a few more items off the list…I love a busy day! I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season relaxing, eating and spending time with your family and friends.
I am a planner and sometimes making plans gets in the way of living life when you try so hard to control it all. So instead of making a HUGE list of goals/plans for 2012, I am going to dummy it down to 10-15 priorities and make the best of my life, my business and listen to what God has in store for me. I always start each year off with a mound of things that I want to accomplish, achieve and finish but by March I end up feeling completely overwhelmed and scrap half of the items on the list. My theme for 2012 is going to be: KEEP IT SIMPLE, love what I do, make time for others and take it day by day. What are your goals for 2012? Are you a list maker too or do you just fly by the seat of your pants?

I looooong to be a list maker, but I will always be a fly by the seat of my pants kinda girl. I can resolve all I want to, but I know my genuine less-than-perfect self by now. 🙂 Happy New Year! I love love Nashville, hope it was a blast.
