Home Away From Home Inspiration
Today I wanted to share a few inspiration and design boards from a Home Away From Home project we have been working on. The client is keeping most of their main furniture and everything is in basic neutrals so this makes bringing in color super easy. Sometime getting a little direction from a designer is all a client needs. They know what they love, but have not idea where to start and how to pull it all together. This project was the perfect example of that.
The entry of this home has a narrow hallway that opens up into the main living area with high ceilings and a fabulous nook by the stairs. Here was our inspiration and favorite pieces for the entry and stair nook.

The living room has cream furniture, dark hardwoods and a fireplace screaming for a fantastic wallpaper! With super high ceilings and tons of windows, we suggested neutral linen drapery with a pop of turquoise trim running down each side. A graphic rug, stunning lighting and of course a few x-benches to complete the seating area.
The master bedroom also has most of the basics in place. But with a new grand upholstered headboard, colorful accent pillows, and maybe even a wallpaper for added glamour. Replacing a few pieces like night stands that are more to scale and updated draperies will complete the soothing look our client is going for.
