Haute Headboards

We love a fashionably elegant headboard and today, we wanted to show off a few of our favorite haute headboards from recent projects. You don’t have to break the bank to get a custom look with a headboard these days. All it takes is a little inspiration, the perfect fabric and a staple gun. If a DIY headboard isn’t in your future, look for a great upholstery workroom in your area and show them the look you are after.

One of our favorites,  white silk 7’H tufted headboard. We snagged this gorgeous pieces at a warehouse sale and attached it to the couples existing bed frame. It was the perfect piece to balance out all of the bold color and pattern.

This bachelor pad needed a masculine and sophisticated headboard that wasn’t going to steal the show. We needed a subtle pieces that would balance out the black lacquer pieces and simple pattern throughout the room. We customized this piece from Duralee using a wool pinstripe fabric in a charcoal.

When you want to go bold with color, keeping it simple on the main basics. We love the polyester silk grid pattern on this pieces and it ties in perfectly with the muted metallic wallpaper and wall color.

Girly glam all the way. We purchased this headboard in the standard ivory fabric that it was stocked in, and then transformed it with a Robert Allen blush silk velvet. The tufting looks absolutely gorgeous and this bachelorette can easily re-upholster this pieces if she moves or decides to go with another color palette.

We loved this sunny graphic fabric but needed the right place to show it off. The headboard was the last thing that we finalized in this master bedroom, but it made all the difference.  The subtle color and pattern compliment the bold black, white and yellow color palette of the room and the classic shape keep it from taking over.
