Fromental {On The Wall}
Last week I stopped by the George Cameron Nash Showroom in the Dallas Design District and instantly became obsessed with the large gorgeous panels of Fromental wallpaper! I have been hunting for an affordable version of these gorgeous papers for a new project lately but there is nothing with this degree of handwork. Fromental is all about made by hand, not hand screened, but hand painted, hand embroidered, and on silk and then backed with paper and most of the time with Asian influences or modern marbeling.
Here are a few of my favorite designs….Now I just need to win the lottery or pick up a client wiling to invest in these gorgeous pieces of art!
They are so custom that that the patterns are not sold by the single or double roll but by the size of the walls and that this “art” and should not be “slapped up” by any random installer, but MUST be gracefully applied to the walls by artisans and craftsmen who consider every detail.
It is owned by the former creative director of de Gournay and his wife. They have taken historical motifs and updated them with brightness and wit, blending British classicism with London’s fashion scene. I love the chic and hip take on the classic looks and can see them appealing to the younger homeowner that love to mix new and old without looking frumpy.

I had lunch with the rep for this line several months ago. She gave me an amazing goodie bag with samples of some of these papers. The detail is incredible! Absolutely works of art! That bottom image is my absolute fav! XO!
