Fireplace Before & After
I wanted to share a stunning before and after. The fireplace in my client’s new home was awkward and the tile surround was only put in place for the home to pass final inspection. On our very first meeting the fireplace was the topic of conversation. My clients lean towards a more modern eclectic style than the standard traditional style of the home. I can’t wait to have the room pulled together. Here are the before and afters.
A simple and easy “DIY” way to update and modernize your fireplace is to add glass instead of the typical fake log. Modern Rustic is one of the BEST sources for the “fire and ice” look and they also make custom aluminum and stainless steel surrounds. We are waiting on our custom aluminum surround to jazz up the overall look of this project.

Where did you get the linear tile for the fireplace? I’ve looked all over the web and cannot find it. Your room looks great! Thanks.

Hi Lindsey,
The tile is from Emser Tile and is called Brooklyn/New York!
Thanks for stopping by the blog!

What a transformation! Since the tile was only installed to “pass inspection”, is it coming down or do the clients now love it? I’d love this in my living room!! Thanks for linking this project up to Saturday Spotlight @ SAS Interiors. Please grab our button and display it on your site!!
