Creating Custom

There is nothing worse than not being able to find the right pieces of furniture for a room.  Sometimes hours of searching for the right shape, size and color don’t turn up anything worth showing your client and that is beyond frustrating. So the next best thing to do is to look into creating a custom piece for the room.  I have found that most of my clients are open to the idea and even have fun helping me design the pieces and select the details like finish, pulls and other unique elements.

This master bedroom needed large scale night stands and a dresser that would balance out the large TV on the wall and grand scale. We found a few inspiration images and took it from there. Of course the mirrored tops on the nightstands are a favorite for her, but don’t get to “girly” for him.

The oversized dresser was designed to be in the same finish,  have similar lines and balance the large scale of the TV. We mixed it up a bit and used a brushed nickel pull instead of the glass knobs like the night stands, but still keeping a round shape.
