Coffee Talk: A Link Party
Lately I have been so busy with new projects and finishing current projects that finding time to “socialize” has been non-existiant. One of my favorite fellow bloggers and tweep, Emily A Clark is hosting a link party and it was to good to pass up! I like this kind of socializing…I don’t have to worry about what my hair looks like!
Emily is a talented designer from Charlotte, NC and I have become a HUGE fan of her stunning before/afters, latest industry finds and her knack for finding a great deal on furniture!! Here blog is a must see www.emilyaclark.blogspot.com
She purchased her coffee table from Craig’s List for $30!! High Five Girl!!!
Here are the details on the link party….
1.Do you use something besides an actual table?
Nope. I wish I had a great story like ” I snagged this at an antique store” or ” I can’t believe how great of a deal this was on Craig’s List”, but I don’t. I have an obsession for all things mirrored and blingy so this round mirrored Zgallerie coffee table was a great “compromise” between me and the hubby. See, he loves all things outdoor and rustic (notice the houndstooth rug and twig floor lamp)….and I love all things girly and eclectic. So the Fenimores are officially “Rustic Glam”!
Here is it is in all of its beautifully photographed glory!

2.How is it styled?
I’m a fan of items in a 1, 3, 5 etc grouping, I have an arrangement of 3’s on the table.
First: Hydrangeas are HANDS DOWN the BEST fresh flowers! They last at least 2 weeks if you keep the water fresh! They bring a much needed texture to the sleek mirrored top and the white petals tie in with all of our trim and accents.
Second: Books! I love the look and feel that a stack of books brings to a space. These books show love to my hubby’s outdoor side…Nature, Great Texas Homes and something about hunting.
Third: A classic catch all. Dru, my husband is the king of catch all containers so this is a great place for him to throw down his keys, change and wallet without scratching the mirrored top.
NOW TO THE REALITY PART OF THIS POST! Excuse the crummy iphone pics, dinner and yummy vino but that’s how we roll folks.
What kind of statement does your coffee table make?
Statement? Well it is one of the most used pieces of furniture (other than the sofa) in our living room so…..workhorse?Between the puppy noses, husband’s web surfing spot and our nightly dinner location this table is our living room go to surface!
Here’s Ivy (our German Short Haired Pointer) begging for daddy’s yummy shrimp pasta! She was just busted with her nose close to the bowl by the way…that should explain the “what?” look she is giving.
….and Caddo (our Brittany Spaniel) knows mommy is known for dropping a few yummy bits her way. She is more patient and waits for her treats with those sweet eyes!
So there you have it, the coffee talk from the Fenimore’s! Have a fabulous weekend and keep checking in over the next week or so. We are “re-launching” our online store, SHOP TEN 25 with 1000+ chic and modern finds for you home!!

I love mirrored things too –
I used a round mirror on the tables with a glass globe with a single orchid at my rehearsal dinner and that was 23 years ago –
I think I need to use it again at a dinner party!!
on a table!
Oh, I have a mirror on the bottom of my glass top coffee table and it is in front of my fireplace, I love it!!

Having books that interest your husband is a nice touch. Maybe I should rethink only using My books. Nice wine choice 🙂
