Bliss in the Kitch!

I am not a fan of cooking around our house, but I will clean up the mess! My husband is the chef around here! He loves to get on the internet, find an easy but yummy recipe and head down to the local fish market to grab the goods.  So with that being said, I wanted to discuss having “bliss in the kitch”!

The kitchen is the heart of most homes and is the best way to see top dollar when selling your home. This kitchen had great bones and the prior owner did a great job with the remodel.  The kitchen was one of the reasons this home was purchased. It was updated, open to the rest of the home and needed minimal upgrades.

BEFORE: Love the backsplash and upgraded appliances but the cabinets are throwing the space off. The green glass subway tile backsplash was great but the new owner was not a fan of it. The glass subway tiles are from Emser Tile, Billiard Green.

AFTER: A fresh new wall color, Sherwin Williams Happy Camper and warms up this kitchen and minimizes the intensity of the backsplash! We painted all of the cabinets Benjamin Moore’s Dove White to tie in with the existing doors and trim. Replacing the oil rubbed bronze hardware with a brushed nickel hardware updated the kitchen.

BEFORE: Believe it or not, this was what the house looked while it was on the market…hmmmm.  Take note and clean up before you show your home please.

AFTER:  I love how open and fun the space looks now! The white cabinets make a huge difference and bringing in the barstools (a snag from a local vintage store) create a great area to socialize. The paint color looks fabulous too!

BEFORE: There are no words…this space had too many “things” in here and the area was crowded.

AFTER: We carried the Happy Camper paint color to keep the space cohesive and added bamboo shades to cut down on the glare and add privacy. My favorite addition to the space is the white pendant, it modernizes  the room and works with the new white cabinets and existing trim.

Love it! This room was meant to have white cabinets. They look so great with the wall color and I love the fabric on the stools!

Dining room looks fabulous also, loving the drum shade above the table!

I know right?! The drum shade came from West Elm, I’m so sad that they do not have it anymore.

      Hi Barbara!
We actually had them painted professionally! There was no way I was going to make it through that project with out messing something up.

Do you know the paint number (SW XXX) for happy camper? I love this color.

This looks so good! Such a fun, happy kitchen. But, I’m with you. I hate cooking. I also hate cleaning, though 🙂
