Behind The Shoot

I wanted to share a few behind the scenes images from a recent photo shoot with Melanie Johnson.  You always end up seeing a few of the crummy before images along with the ahhhmazing final product that Melanie always creates. I have worked with Melanie for over two years now and it’s funny how we discuss my wish list, check a few test shots and then she just makes the magic happen.

This latest project is the lobby of a Dallas law firm that I started working on last summer. One of the partners had bright contemporary art pieces and a few rugs from his private collection that he wanted to use in the new space.  He knew he wanted more of a modern clean look but also wanted to appeal the more traditional side of the other partners in the firm.  Gorgeous antiques, warm hardwood floors and beige walls were the starting point. I can’t wait to share the final images.  If you want to see the process of the custom furniture…take a look HERE.

For now, enjoy these pics I snapped at the shoot and I promise to share the details soon.

What a great lobby! I can’t tell you how many I have sat in and pictured changing the outdated and tacky decor…a law office with style…I like that 🙂

      Hi Kate!
Thank you, I loved mixing the modern and traditional styles with that office. I was really happy with the custom furniture and the overall look is really fresh and clean.
A great first impression when a client steps off the elevator, that’s for sure.

      Megan,
Your funny, I would love to help. Just because your lawyers doesn’t mean you can be stylish!
      Right?

Swipe left for a few of our favorites from 📸 @heatherhawkins #linkinbio👆 for the full story! .......................................You can take the family out of California, but you can't take California out of the family—and this modern Tudor home is proof! After moving from Southern California to Dallas, Texas, and purchasing a newly-constructed home in the M Streets neighborhood, a young couple with a six-year-old son and four-year-old daughter reached out to interior designer Abbe Fenimore of Studio Ten 25 with a vision. They hoped she could decorate their new home in such a way that it felt like their own little slice of California in the Lone Star State.

Whether your style is modern or traditional, minimalist or extravagant, there's a 2020 paint color for you! Of course Blush is my #1 pick for 2020! "Blush will continue to be big in 2020 due to its ability to feel modern when mixed with warmer jewel tones and its ability to bring a chic feel to any room or piece of furniture.” #studioten25 #Blush2020 📸 @emilyhartphoto #linkinprofile

This chic multi-use space uses natural elements like gemstones and geodes, floral patterns and stunning modern wildlife art — all in bold, jewel tones, for a one-of-a-kind look. “Our client wanted a space that she could use on the days she needs to work from home, as well as a space for her to work on crafts and read. The plush velvet loveseat is the perfect spot for her to curl up with a good book,” says Abbe Fenimore, Founder & Principal Designer of Studio Ten 25. “My favorite design element in this room is definitely the gorgeous yellow plume wallpaper on the ceiling. We loved it so much that we used the coordinating fabric for the drapery panels.” #studioten25 #lovewhereyoulive #beboldbebright

Instagram post 2180611798626399025_1016530 It’s going to be a Dolly good day! “When I wake up, I expect things to be good. If they're not, then I try to set about trying to make them as good as I can 'cause I know I'm gonna have to live that day anyway. So why not try to make the most of it if you can? Some days, they pan out a little better than others, but you still gotta always just try.”
