Before & After {From Blah to Bright & Beautiful}

I wanted to share a few BEFORE & AFTER images from a recent project. We dolled this home up with some of my favorite rugs from The Rug Company and they made all the difference!!! My client already had a handful of great pieces in throughout her home so we just needed to pull it all together. I will be sharing more before & afters of the formal dining, casual dining and entry next week so stay tuned!!

BEFORE: I love this living room, entry and dining room area. The space has tons of windows but looked super dark and dreary, especially since most of the furniture is the same neutral beige. The fireplace mantle was just too chunky for the room and really didn’t work with the clean, modern feel that we were going for.

AFTER: By adding color through rugs, art and accessories we were able to brighten up the space without making it too crazy.  My favorite update in the living room was to the fireplace wall. We added gorgeous Athens silver large scale tiles from Ann Sacks to really take the update to the next level.  I love that the large tiles create the look of a slab too! The sheer drapes with a touch of turquoise Ikat were made from Kravet fabric and really soften up the large wall while softly filtering the harsh glare from the windows.  Of course the centerpieces of the room is the gorgeous Carnival Rug by Paul Smith for The Rug Company.  I love the pattern and it brings a much needed balance to the otherwise beige room. It allowed us to bring in a punch of color without going overboard on art and accessories too!
