Black, White & Girly Girl
I love seeing pictures of a client’s home before they have purchased it. This master bedroom was pretty basic, but we had big plans to transform it into an over the top girl girl room! Large scale furniture works well in the space but it really drives me crazy when draperies are installed just above the window in a room with high ceilings. It just breaks up the room too much for me.
BEFORE: Here is a picture of the master from the home’s MLS listing. There are not any other layout options for the room so the bed had to go in the same place.
INSPIRATION: Since we have a so much space and tall ceilings, we needed to go big with the bed’s headboard. Of course we were going for lots of pink, glitzy lighting and a fabulous black & white striped love seat at the end of the bed! New brass drapery rods with acrylic finials installed just under the crown moulding and glamourous white linen drapes are on the way!
ALMOST AFTER: All of the major pieces are in place now and the room is starting to come together! Wait until you see the gorgeous black glass migration console from John Richard that we recently installed, it is perfect!!! I am obsessed with the pink Robert Allen silk velvet fabric that we used on the headboard. The amethyst lamps from Times Two Design introduce the pop of deep purple that will help tie everything together!
