Puppy Portraits
Last week I received a package that I have been patiently waiting for! As you probably know, I love love love my puppy dogs and since we don’t have children they complete our family for sure. The extremely talented Luke Jervis has gone above any expectation I could have in regards to portraits of our girls. The Victorian portraits are absolutely gorgeous. Every little detail from the clothing, look in their eyes and of course those special broaches! Caddo has a pheasant and Ivy has a squirrel on her broach, the perfect little detail that makes my two bird dogs extra chic!
The arrived simply wrapped and fastened with a thin rope and a hand written name tag…I almost hated to undo such a pretty package.
Let’s start with Ivy. Luke capture her attitude perfectly! After going through quite a few pictures of her and sending them over, I think she was captured exactly how we see her. That serious “I will get that squirrel” stare is one of her signature looks! Getting this sister to pose with her own portrait wasn’t easy, she thinks everything is a vacuum cleaner…such a scaredy cat!
And now, Miss Caddo Brown. This little Brittany is super stylish and always posing for the camera. I swear she does, every time we grab the camera or iphone, she starts to pose and act like she is hunting. Even when she is hunting for real, she is on! Most of her pictures have serious hunting face so I love that this captures her inner supermodel, and she looks fabulous in the warm golden yellow tones too!
I told you Caddo was the camera hog. She just decided to lay down on the chair and was not moving. So I decided to push Ivy in for one last shot with her sister and their gorgeous custom portraits! If you want to see more of Luke’s work, check out The Love Maegan Blog. ADORABLE!! And if you must have one of these for your fur baby, head over to Luke’s website and snag one for yourself, they are worth the wait! I love seeing Caddo and Ivy on the home page with all of these other adorable furry pets!
