This One? Or That One?
This week we are putting the final touches on a project and I wanted to see what my lovely readers thought about the options. I stopped by to see Oscar and Michael at The Rug Company here in Dallas to select a few rug options for a client’s living room. We have narrowed it down to two gorgeous pieces and I thought it would be fun to get your vote.
First we have the Ponti Rug. I love the graphic pattern, I tried to use the red version of this beauty in a previous project but it didn’t work out so I am excited to try it again.
The second option is the Mohair Sable rug. Stunning, simple and tons of sheen. Even though this rug is basic, the sheen and texture really pull the space together.
Here are both of the rugs in the space. With the rich wine red mohair chairs, fawn leather sectional and sleek linear wall tiles…both of these rugs really do work. Although I love the mohair rug and the way it makes the space feel sophisticated and sleek, the Ponti rug is fabulous too. I am a sucker for a great graphic rug so I hate to pass this one up…I just can’t decide.
What do you think??? I would love to hear your thoughts. I will post images of the winner next week!!!

I like the ponti rug. Great pattern for a modern room like this and adds interest.

oh man! they both look amazing. I think the graphic one gives the room a punch of interest, but will the homeowner grow tired of it over time? the neutral one may be less risk but stand the test of time? i dunno- LOL I say BOTH and then they can change it out for whatever mood they feel! haha Im no help……..

I say the graphic! It breaks up the color between the sofa & ottoman.

I love the graphic one. Adds some added interest in there that you could definitely get away with. I love the sectional you’ve chosen in there. Can I ask where that came from??? We are looking for one that’s not too big and this one seems like a nice size. Great job!!

Hi Allison,
The sectional was purchased from The P.A. Turner showroom in the Dallas World Trade Center. It is from Old Hickory Tannery out of North Carolina. They only sell to designers but you can find the same style at Horchow. It is a perfectly masculine piece and I think the oversized arms are my favorite. Here is a link to more of their pieces,

Thank you for reading the blog!

I love a bold graphic rug, so my vote is for the Ponti. It also plays off nicely with the wall tile.
