Looking forward to Honeysuckle
Now that Pantone has announced it’s 2011 color of the year, I thought I would share a few of my favorite images of the color to be! Honeysuckle. When I first saw the announcement that Honeysuckle was the 2011 color of the year I was a very happy girl. I have always loved pinks, corals and other colors in the pink family. From fashion to home interiors, keep your eye out for this versatile color.
“Honeysuckle is upbeat and dynamic when used on large areas like the entry area of a house or an apartment. It is an appetite and conversation stimulant when used on the dining room walls. In the kitchen, it adds a fun touch on the table in placemats and other linens (patterned or solid), colored glassware, candles and small appliances. Honeysuckle is a great color to cover up shabby kitchen cabinets, or, if that’s too much of a color statement for you, try repainting knobs and drawer pulls. But be warned – once you try this arresting shade, it can become addictive.”

Love the use of this color in all the rooms! As you know with our remodel, i am now trying to decide on a color scheme to link the first floor. I am going to use this shade of pink with orange on a wallpaper in dining and use the same colors in the adjacent laundry and make it really girlie(since I live with four boys). It’s the foyer hallway and living that I am a little hesitant to paint a dark brown and the living room a dior grey! It’s hard to know if there are any rules for using so many colors. Thanks for the post! I need to take a pic of how my coffered ceiling turned out!
