aoii sorority – university of minnesota
Designing the AOII house at the University of Minnesota was all about embracing the home’s gorgeous bones while bringing in a rich, inviting new palette. The chapter wanted to lean into jewel tones and warm wood accents—colors and textures that feel timeless but still pack a punch.
With such large, open rooms, we had the opportunity to create distinct zones for gathering, studying, and celebrating, while still keeping the flow cohesive. We layered plush seating, luxe textiles, and statement lighting to complement the home’s original architectural details rather than compete with them.
One of my favorite parts of this project was letting those historic elements shine—intricate moldings, soaring ceilings, and beautiful woodwork became the backdrop for bold, modern color. The result is a home that feels warm, sophisticated, and distinctly AOII, ready to welcome sisters for years to come.
