Before & After {Master Bedroom}
This master bedroom was the perfect balance of sophistication and edgy chic. Our clients wanted a master bedroom that would be a retreat at the end of a long busy day. We started by having the room painted Benjamin Moore’s Grey Owl to coordinate with the Clarke & Clarke’s Cameo wallpaper that we selected. The combination of new paint and wallpaper on the back wall instantly updated the space and gave us the perfect starting point for the room’s design.
BEFORE: Nothing but the bed here folks. It was pretty pitiful, and they eventually used an empty printer box as a nightstand. Poor things, they really needed a place to relax and of course to at least place a lamp! Builder standard peachy walls were the worst part of the room. We loved the existing bed they had, so we decided to change the walls, add a subtle metallic wallpaper to the back wall and rock out the grey and aubergine color palette.
AFTER: I love how tailored the headboard looks now. The white lacquer nightstands, all white bedding and white Mongolian fur bench gave the room a bright and updated feel. Since we didn’t want to go overboard with the aubergine accent color, we kept it simple with just a few pieces. The glass lamps were the perfect scale for the night stands and mixed well with the textural pattern of the mirrors. A few glitz pillows and a luxurious throw blanket were the finishing touches.
