I have been on the hunt for a metal/chain chandelier for a client’s entry and stumbled upon Carolina Fontoura Alzaga. So far they are some of the most grand, unique and not of the main stream pieces I have come across.

Take a closer look at these metal chandeliers, see anything different?  They are entirely created by a bicycle wheel and chain. Carolina takes old bikes that are about to get recycled and turns them into things the most gorgeous pieces.  I doubt that she will willingly give up these lovelies without asking a pretty penny.  So I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they fit the budget!

This one is one of my favorites. I love the draping of the chains and how something so harsh can look soft and chic. 

This piece is dark,extreme and the accent from the chains with color create a goth glam look.
