Mini Media Room

Formal dining rooms are not a priority for most of our clients. A formal dining room comes in handy these days, but are rarely used since families gather around the kitchen island or use the small off kitchen dining in most new homes. When the formal dining room falls to the bottom of the priority list during a project, we find fun and creative ways to make them function as another space.

This home was the perfect example of making the formal dining room a functional space that my clients will actually use. We converted this room into a cozy T.V. room and since the room doesn’t have any windows, it is perfect for watching movies or taking a Sunday afternoon nap too. These custom sized lounger were upholstered in a bold yellow velvet and are going to be awesome for lounging in. Once we update the lighting, add a little wallpaper and a few pieces of art, this room will be formally non-formal!
