Making Good Choices
Accessorizing is the last step in the design process in The Studio. I am always ready for these type of questions when we begin working with a client, “What about styling this bookshelf?” or “What are we going to do on the coffee table?”. Wowza, these details are not even on the radar when we begin the design process. There are so many elements that have to be determined before we even address the finishing touches. Scale, color and budget often change during the design process so spending time and money on the accessories can have you chasing your tail.
Once all of the main pieces are in place, I love to spend time in the space working on the final accessories. It has become one of my favorite stages in the design process because it allows me to really enjoy the space and focus on what makes it come together. I also like to spend a few hours around town grabbing pieces that catch my eye. Yes, I do go shopping with a list and a plan in place to keep me on track.
I recently stopped by some of my favorite go-to places for accessories for our Ritz Bachelor pad project and am blown away with all of the options out there this time of year!
