I have to say that of all the social media platforms that I have used over the past few years, Instagram is still my favorite. I love pretty pictures, fun filters and short video clips and being able to get my fill of pretty when I have a few minutes to spare is a good thing. I also love all of the amazing artists, fabric designers and beyond creative people that I have been able to discover through Instagram. It helps me to get out of my comfort zone when creating designs for my clients and having a fresh perspective is key to keeping the creative vibes on track. Discovering new things and design tools is one of my favorite things to do, and sharing them is even better. Here are a few of my favorites, hopefully they will become one of yours too!
Today, I wanted to share five of my favorite Instagrammers….and yes…I stalk them a bit. I have a huge list, so I’m thinking this may be the start of something new on the blog!
“28.Art stuff. Mom of 3.”
The rosy cheeks of her paintings just make me smile and her use of bold color has a sophisticated element that balances out the fun and funky feel of the pieces. One of her commissioned pieces is being framed for a client’s sitting room mantle, and I can not wait to see the room come together around the pieces. You can shop her pieces on Etsy or visit her website for all the details on custom pieces too!
#2 emilyaclark – Emily Clark
“Named 2016 Better Homes & Gardens reader’s Choice decorating blog. Wife, mom of five, interior design blogger and writer for BHG.com”
I love her behind the scenes look at all of the colorful and classic updates that she is making in her home. She has her hands full with five kiddos, but they are always lending a hand and make the best little models!
#3 marirdesign – Mari Robeson
Mari is my go-to girl for all of my interior illustrations. She has been a huge supporter of my Studio as well as my Shop and is the most lovely lady to work with. Her creativity, talent and calming energy shines through each illustration that she creates. Her SHOP is full of the most perfect pieces of stationary, pillows and fabrics all made from her stunning illustrations!
The 100 Day project was by far my favorite! I was amazed at how she could easily create gorgeous illustrations everyday and each of them be so full of life, detail and bold color.
