Instagram Friday Favorites
I’m back with a few of my favorite Instagrammers that have caught my eye over the past few weeks and have brought major inspiration to my feed. Not long ago, I shared my first list of favorites from Instagram and the list continues to grow. Like I said then, ” It helps me to get out of my comfort zone when creating designs for my clients and having a fresh perspective is key to keeping the creative vibes on track. Discovering new things and design tools is one of my favorite things to do, and sharing them is even better. Here are a few of my favorites, hopefully they will become one of yours too!”
Here are a few of my recent favorites that I have loved finding and following this past month. Hopefully you find a little inspiration from them too!
#1 Margaret Lipsey – Pistache and Rose
@pistache_and_rose
“Montreal – Artist”
“Current works on the website Commissions and collaboration welcome”
Can we just talk about her “about” for a sec?…..Wow, I have chills. Her pieces have a striking movement and I was instantly smitten! You can see all of her pretty pieces HERE.
“On one I found grace and strength; women demanding to be seen, giving pause to those who passed. They have power beyond the canvas. they delve into our being and reflect what we want to see in ourselves. This path is inspiring as an artist. These women are apart from me but they influence who I am. They take me to the realm of realistic fantasy; beyond my normal but not outside of my reach.”
#2 Juliet Travers Wallpapers
@juliettraverswallpapers
“The artist and creative director of Juliet Travers Wallpaper and fabrics. company based in London UK and all products made in England.”
I’m a sucker for fab wallpaper and fabrics and love when they are chic, unique and brushed with a bit of metallic! The Safari collection is my favorite and I am now trying to find a few places to place her gorgeous pieces. You can see more of her work HERE.
Juliet Travers is a London based designer who has had a passion for wallpaper design since studying printed textiles for interior furnishings at Edinburgh College of Art. In her final year she designed a beautiful collection of both fabrics and wallpapers, one of which was sold to LG Hausys at her graduate show in London.
#3 Villa Lagoon Tile
@villalagoontile
“VLT is your global source for cement tile. Eco-friendly original and traditional designs hand-made on three continents since 2008”
I love the story of VLT and of course the gorgeous patterns, colors and unique designs. Kitchens backsplashes, bathroom floors and stair risers are all made a bit more fabulous with their pieces.
Villa Lagoon Tile was initially established when Lundy sought out a fabricator for her own tile designs for her Gulf Coast home.
During the construction of a DAC-ART Building System hurricane proof home in Gulf Shores, AL , owner, Lundy Wilder realized that the only flooring choice that really made sense for an Italian classic home in this storm-prone area was the tile that she had seen in her travels often called encaustic cement tile. After much research, she determined that the tile was still wildly popular in many parts of the world, but virtually unknown in the States.
