I have always loved the 4th of July. Growing up with my Father in the Air National Guard was always something I was proud of and I admired his love of country and passion to serve and protect this land we all call home. 2 years ago today, my Father lost his battle with cancer and my heart was broken. Today, I feel that I can finally smile when I think of him and am starting to love that he passed away on The 4th of July. What an amazing day to leave this world as a man that adored his family and served his country for 38 years!
