Dallas has managed to snag it’s very own piece of the reality show pie with Most Eligible Dallas. If you have not tuned into the show or just refuse to watch, then let me give you the 411 via Bravo.
“They’re young, they’re hot, they’re single –- they’re Dallas’ Most Eligible. From beauty queens to pro-football players, this group of Texas socialites proves that everything’s bigger in Texas –- including the drama.”
Since the cast is always out and about in Dallas, I love to see where they are going to grab lunch, shop and of course what their houses look like. Courtney Kerr is a stylish, spunky and outspoken girl so when I caught a glimpse of her not so stylish bedroom I was shocked. It’s just…well…not good. It almost had that college dorm and hand me down mish mashed look. So, when Kimberly from Pink Eggshell asked me to come up with a design plan for Courtney I knew exactly where to start for inspiration.
Courtney’s style is bold, classic and includes fabulous shoes and accessories. I decided to take inspiration from one of my interior design and style icons, Kelly Wearstler. I found this image of Kelly sitting on a console table and the blend of high fashion and vintage glam design screamed Courtney Kerr.
I wanted Courtney’s bedroom to feel like an extension of her closet. I included lush fabrics, mirrored accents and polished accessories. I decided to go with a metallic pewter grey grasscloth wall covering that is full of texture, it will be the perfect starting point for the room. A vintage-esque chandelier in a gold leaf finish tie in with the gold leaf vanity and add a sophisticated feel to the room. Bold art along with pops of color from the pillows an understated teal vanity chair were the best ways bring in more texture and glamour to the room. Since Courtney is from Fort Worth, I had to bring in a bit of cowhide with a modern flare. Kyle Bunting creates the most gorgeous cow hide rugs using modern shapes and colors. This warm ivory “Kashmir” moroccan pattern rug brings in movement without overwhelming the room.
So what do you think? I can totally see Courtney fitting in with her new vintage glam bedroom….

I watch! I was stunned by her decor as well, especially since she is so stylish. What the heck?? I kind of felt embarrassed for her. Love everything you picked out…she should hire you!
Thanks Kel!
I know right?! She is so stylish and deserves to have a room as fabulous as she is.

I so agree!!! I’ve been watching the show and think Courtney is adorable and really stylish- but her bedroom was so NOT! She needs to see what you’ve done for her- I think she’d love it! p.s. I’m in Houston- practically your neighbor:) So jealous that you and Cassie (Hi Sugarplum) are in Dallas together!
Can you believe that Cassie and I have not met in person?! We have to get together, I love her and so happy that her house was in The Dallas Morning News not long ago! Let me know if you are up in Dallas and I will give you a heads up if I’m down in Houston. Would love to grab coffee.
