Project Greenway is in full swing and we finalized the architectural plans this week! Now, they are off the the engineer to for the overall set that we need for a permit. Pricing is another issue. I am amazed at how busy the Dallas remodel and new construction market is right now. Finding the right people to bid on the remodel is a challenge and the time frame is all over the board on a start to finish date.

Can we just stop and talk about how awesome it is that our architect drafts by hand?! Makes it a bit challenging when you have multiple changes, but wow it looks so much more approachable.

 

I am trying to keep busy with Studio projects & Project Greenway finishes as we wait for the final total on the project. Ugh…not knowing what the all in cost will be is beyond frustrating. I deal with these situations on a daily basis with my clients going through remodels and new construction, but it feels a bit more challenging when it is your own home.

 

I have been spending all of my free time pulling together the look book for the remodel, and it has been a huge help. I have been able to focus on the specific details that need clarification with contractors and it has given me a bit of inspiration for the next phase….picking the pretty stuff!
