The first day of Fall officially arrived last week on September 22nd. I hardly noticed because it’s still so hot here in Texas!! So much for all those super cute Fall clothes I pulled out from storage. I guess they’ll have to wait just a little bit longer. In the meantime, I’ve been thinking about cozying up the house as well with a few Fall staples such as chunky knit throws and plush pillows. Here are a few pieces from the shop that I would love to scatter around my own house. It this weather keeps up, I may just have to crank up the AC and burrow under a warm blanket with a hot cup of cider! (just kidding… sort of)

As a designer, it is challenging to keep up with all of my obsessions. I see so many gorgeous things while I’m out shopping for current projects, that resisting the urge to slap down my credit card happens way too much!  I love that I am in an industry filled with beautiful furniture, fabrics and accessories. Lately , I have a serious crush on all of the fur pieces like pillows, blankets and even rugs!  So, today I thought I would share one of my favorite ways to incorporate a bit of fur….

I came across this gorgeous images a few weeks ago and fell in love with the mix of textures. Who doesn’t love a fabulous mongolian fur ottoman or pillows?!  I love that this would make a fabulous entry or just a small sitting area in a hallway or nook in any home.  The pop of black and white zebra mixed with the Buddha head pull the simplistic textural chic look together. I have pulled a few of my favorite pieces to help you get the look, just incase you happen to have an entry that needs updating! Happy Monday!!

Besides arabesques and bold colors, the boho chic look is absolutely one of my favorites!! Luxe details meet modern shapes and exotic references accompanied by an undeniable “c’est la vie” look on life… that’s the boho chic way! Today’s collage combines all of these elements in a look that I could probably spend most of the day dreaming about. The jumping board for this look were the colorful mongolian fur pillows that I recently added to the shop. I have one myself and they are so soft and luxurious!! Perfect for the Parisian artist in all of us!
