    THE BLOG

We are kicking off “the week of chic” with Cassie from Hi Sugarplum! When we began to discuss the topic of chic, she came up with chic children’s rooms. This isn’t a topic I post on much but it is a great reminder that the little ones deserve a room just as fabulous as mom and dad.  Thank you Cassie for being a part of the series!

Hello, hello! I’m Cassie from Hi Sugarplum! I am pinching myself to be included in Abbe’s Chic Spaces Series! I am a huge fan and refer to her designs often for inspiration.
When Abbe asked me to share my idea of a Chic Space, I immediately thought of the overlooked Kid’s Room. With all the excitement of a new baby, Nurseries tend to grab lots of attention. But no matter how chic and modern the nursery, the child will eventually outgrow the design.
Just because kids are small, doesn’t mean they don’t appreciate big design! And think of all the fun you can have with color!

I’d be thrilled to spend the night in any of those rooms! Some of my favorite blogger friends have turned out some fabulous rooms for their kids too. I think there are some future designers growing up in these chic rooms!

    Live Like You

Last summer I surprised my son with his own Big Kid Room makeover. His friends still comment on the different design aspects…pretty good for a gang of 9-year-old boys!

    Hi Sugarplum!

My daughter is finally getting her long overdue upgrade from a Nursery. And we’ve had a ball creating a room to match her feisty personality!

I think with a few tweaks, this room will grow with her for many years.
You can read about all the projects so far in her room here. I’m thisclose to revealing the finished space! I hope my kids feel loved in their rooms, created especially for them. Because their bedrooms deserve just as much attention as the rest of the house. After all, they are the heart of our home!
Thank you, Abbe, for allowing me to hang out here today! I hope you’re having a ball in New York!

    13. I adore these rooms! I love how the all have a youthful feeling, but it looks like most of the pieces weren’t found in the ‘children’s’ section. These rooms will definitely do a great job following the children as the grow up. Great post!! Chic Rooms

    14. Love all of these rooms! I wish my bedroom was as fun and chic when I was little. I just came over from Shannon Berrey’s blog where she was featuring the soft pink and white stripe room. Gorgeous!
