I love nothing more than walking into the entry space of someone’s home and being blown away. Of course I’m talking about the glitz and glam factor that makes me swoon! A little sparkle, a little shine and tons of over the top glamour are the perfect elements to create an entry that is sure to wow any guest! Of course the Holiday season easily lends itself to the sparkle and shine of the season, what a perfect time to push for a little glamour!
This entry happens to be one of my favorites from a Studio Ten 25 project! You can see a few more details of the entire project HERE.
I have loved taking the week off to spend time with family, friends and to catch up on a few loose ends around The Studio. I have also taken this week to look back on a few of my favorite projects, blog posts and of course prepare for a fabulous 2013! I have been fortunate to have met and “worked” with so many driven, successful and motivational people in this industry. There is nothing more rewarding that inspiration and unconditional support, especially in this competitive industry.
Tobi Fairley has been one of those people and I can say THANK YOU enough to her and the great team she surrounds herself with. This past Spring, Tobi asked me to participate in a Get The Look post as an opportunity to spread the word about my design Studio and of course my online boutique, Shop Ten 25. I loved pulling the post together so much, that I later decided to make Get The Look Monday standard on my blog!
So one of my 2013 goals is to pay it forward! As my business grows and you lovely readers continue to support the changes around here, I can’t help but think of what I was going through 4 years ago when I decided to start this chapter in my life! Seeing my business grow & having others reach out to support me has been overwhelming…in a good way! I hope that we can all remember what it was like to branch out on our own, start something new and be so thankful for any morsel of advise to keep us going!
Wishing you all a wonderful and successful 2013!! It WILL be amazing. Take a look at the Get The Look pieces from Tobi’s blog this past spring, all of the pieces have links for you too! And while you are on her blog, take a look around, there are TONS of fabulous things to inspire you too!

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas! Thank you for following along this year and for supporting The Blog, The Shop and The Studio. I am looking forward to a fabulous 2013 and am excited about taking a few days off. The Blog will be back up and running after the new year
Tis’ the season for all things bright, shiny, festive, and merry!! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to celebrate a little. It’s been a productive year and quite a lot has happened but now it’s time to take it easy, relax with friends and family, and ring in 2013 with some cheer!! Today’s round-up of shiny, sparkly goodies from the shop fits the bill perfectly.
I’m pretty excited to see one of my favorite projects featured in the January 2013 issue of Cottages & Bungalows! Bold color, gorgeous graphic fabrics and a chic factor through the roof!!! Want to see more project details? Head over to The House of Turquoise Blog too.
Social Radar Gifts With A Purpose is the perfect mix of gifts that give back!! I love seeing cool and unique gifts that do good and this segment is full of them! Obviously with two fur babies of my own, giving back to local organizations that help sweet puppies find their forever home is a priority! Shop Ten 25′s Telluride Dog Bed was featured on the segment and 10% off all sales from the bed go to support DFW Rescue Me.
The New Year is around the corner and suddenly I’m craving white spaces and simple luxuries. For instance, an entire day spent on the sofa relaxing and retreating without. Today’s “Get the Look” inspiration is all that and more! I love the layers of soft furs and minimalistic decor. Less is more in the most beautiful way!!
The word is out and every designer, fashionista, and color enthusiast out there is buzzing… Emerald Green is our 2013 Pantone Color of the Year!! How about that? More jewel-tones. I love it! There have been some awesome posts out there featuring this saturated hue so, I thought, why not join in the fun. Here are a handful of emerald green selections from the Shop for you to enjoy.
So, what do you think? Are you loving this color or did Pantone miss the mark?
Since the blog has been filled with gift guides over the past few weeks, I thought it would be fun to show off a few project updates. This past week a client’s T.V. room was about 90% installed and let me tell you…IT IS BOLD, BRIGHT and I LOVE IT!!! It is so fun when a client throws their hands up and says “let’s just go for it”. And go for it we did! Forgive the iPhone pics, but I don’t want to give too much away just yet!
I’m a huge fan of mixing pattern, color and textures and this room has been the perfect place to bring all of those design elements in. We painted the room and installed one of Kravet’s Perfect Plains in a teal linen for the drapes. Pillows are always a great way to bring in color and pattern, so of course we used Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s Adras Ikat from Schumacher. I love that her puppy dog, Boscoe decide to pose in front of them too!
I think my favorite part of the room has to be the addition of the Paul Smith Swirl Rug from The Rug Company! The bold pattern and color really made a huge impact on the new pieces in the room…and I think it is a keeper!
And the stairs and the patio! I love working with clients that are all about making the traditional a little more fabulous! A few weeks ago one of my non-traditional Christmas decoration clients was throwing a party and need a little holiday vibe. We have had so much fun adding the natural and rustic touches to her home so why not keep it all going.
I love that antlers were added to the garland that ran up the handrail of the stairs, that the flowers from Village Garden & Gallery were all a mix of winter white and branches and that the glow from the candlelight came from tons of mercury glass votives as well as the mercury glass string of lights throughout.
