Today I thought I would share a few of my favorite book images from my project files. I love the way a stack of books can bring in color, texture and is a reflection of their owner. Shopping for books has also become one of my favorite things to shop for when finalizing a client’s room. The simplicity of a stack of books is classic and has become one of my accessory staples.
Here are my top Ten. All images via Studio Ten 25 and Melanie Johnson Photography.
Last week I delivered this yummy chair to my client. It has been sitting in the office for a few days and I could not wait to see it in the space. We are still waiting on the draperies, accent pillows and more artwork to be delivered but I wanted to share this fabulous piece.
The chair was a simple round back with a zebra print fabric that wasn’t going to fit in. The lines, scale and price of the chair were perfect for the master bedroom and with this Osborne & Little fabric in mind, it was ready to be transformed. It is always a good idea to look for budget furniture pieces to dress up with a “special fabric”.
BEFORE: Blah Blah Zebra
Take look at the inspiration image that my client sent me. I think we came very close to bringing in the swanky side chair like the inspiration shot!.

I love Tobi Fairley’s weekly “Ask Tobi” post on her blog. The tips are simple solutions to questions from her readers and I love seeing the suggestions that she comes up with. This week Tobi suggested the Terrene rug from Shop Ten 25 in her post! This indoor / outdoor rug is perfect for high traffic areas and can hold up to spills and dirt. Don’t let the outdoor capability fool you, the Terrene rug is soft and cozy underfoot too! We have plenty in stock, so if you need one in a hurry we’ve got you covered! I love her trademark use of bold color and sophisticated detailing. This fabulous graphic rug is 15% off through today, Thank You Tobi!

On a side note, today’s post also marks the beginning of a new series on the blog that I’m calling “Weekend Window”. Each week I’ll share a peek into the shop’s “window” with a few favorite items and featured collages. My mind has been buzzing with fun ideas and I can’t wait to share them with you all. Keep your eyes open every Friday for a new shop post.
Turkey day is always fun around the Fenimore house. We had everyone over for lunch today and are finally finished putting the last of the clean dishes away. I wanted to share our Thanksgiving table just like I did last year. Now that I look back, I realize how sparse everything was so I wanted to add a few more pieces this year.
I decided to add more of the rustic detail that my husband loves, most of the containers are made out of birch and filled with succulents and other fun pieces. I called my favorite florist in town (Village Garden & Gallery) to help me bring in the containers, candle holders and a few other seasonal pieces to dress up the house. They rocked it out!
They even dressed up our fireplace mantle in the living room. I am in love with the grapevine and fall leaf mix even though my husband say he is waiting for the covey of quail to fly out! The fall leaves can be easily removed and replaced with Christmas holly and evergreen.
Wishing you all a fabulous Thanksgiving! Enjoy the football, your family and the leftovers!
I have had a Google + page for a few months now and have been trying to learn my way around. This past weekend I noticed they are adding business pages to the Google + site so of course I had to set on up for The Studio. Not sure what Google + is? Check it out HERE. And head over to The Studio’s New Google + Page, we will be adding tons of photos and new post on a regular basis.
We set up the Shop Ten 25 booth at the Chi Omega Christmas Market today and I can not wait to see everyone stop by. Pillows, pillows and more pillows my friends. We have so many pillows in fact that our inventory stock is still full so there are plenty to go around. We have stocked the booth full of chic holiday pieces, art, accessories and tons of fabulous rugs too!
The Market starts tomorrow at 9:30am, stop by and say hello!
I receive quite a few emails asking about Shop Ten 25’s Dallas location, and it bums me out when I have to break the news that The Shop is only online. So when I was asked to take part in The Chi Omega Christmas Market, I jumped at the chance. Even if it is only for 4 days Shop Ten 25 will be available locally!
I will share the details of the booth once we have it all set up. We are stocking the booth with chic accessories, small furniture, art and of course our favorite pillows! I’m excited to bring in a few pieces from local vendors that will only be available at the market too. If you are in the Dallas area, please stop by and say hello! The show will start Wednesday November 16th and run through Saturday the 19th.
