I had to share this! I have been looking for the perfect coffee table for a current project and the Scissor Table from Global Views caught my eye. Check out the scissor and how cool it looks when it is moved around for different configurations.
No other color in modern history has as much depth when it comes to associations with masculinity, femininity and politics. I’m amazed that it has only been around in its proper form for less than 500 years. Who knows what the future for this light shade of red will hold, but I love it!
I love these bits of pink’s history!
Check out the latest and greatest from World’s Away. Beautiful mirrored pieces, fabulous consoles and glamorous side tables. Stop by the shop and take a look at World’s Away and their entire line in our Shop!
I love the classic lines and simple bow front of the Natalie Dresser. The mirrored top and fancy drawer hardware (glass knobs) are just the right touch of glam. This pieces would make great night stands for a large scale room or could even be used a console piece in an entryway. Available in White Lacquer & Dark Chocolate Oak.
The Jacklyn Mirrored Desk is my dream desk! The beveled plain mirrored desk is 38″L x 20″D so it’s perfect for the small space in the bedroom and would be great as a vanity!
Looking for a unique side table that makes a statement? The Maynard side table is super chic and is available in silver leaf and gold leaf finishes.
The Wrenfield 2 drawer dresser is another versatile piece. Details include a Greek Key design on the front of the drawers, mirrored top and extra large drawers on metal glides. It is available in a White Lacquer or Cherry finish.
Lighting is one of my absolute favorite design elements! I must have over 500 images saved in my “lighting inspiration” file and it’s time to show these great images off!
So often we see the same type of light fixture and finding something that brings that “wow” factor to a space can be a challenge. A chandelier should beautiful from above, from below and from all sides.
The way a fixture is photographed is also something I love to see! Here are a few of my favorites.
A timeless classic with no definative answer to the question of the origin of the world famous chesterfield sofa, however the following theories seem to be the most popular today:
Chesterfield Sofa Definition: According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the use of the word chesterfield was used to describe a couch in the 1900’s.
The Early of Chesterfield:It is believed that Phillip Stanhope, the 4th Earl of Chesterfield (1694-1773), commissioned the first leather chesterfield sofa with its distinctive deep buttoned, quilted leather upholstery and low seat base.
Other rumoured origins of the chesterfield include the use of the term Chesterfield to refer to any sofa, settee or couch by turn of the century Americans and Canadians, and term coined to describe the button and quilting used on this particular sofa design.

I love the variations of the Chesterfield. From a tailored leather look to a modern velvet piece, the Chesterfield has become a staple! From high end versions in luxurious fabrics and leathers to affordable versions from places like Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters it’s easy to find on that fits your budget.
Classic and contemporary, this white leather version is stunning!
These gorgeous turquoise sofas were used on the set of Nip/Tuck
This Metallic version is affordable and very blingy!
Apartment Therapy has a good post on how to clean a Chesterfield! Love the pic!
This inflatable version makes me laugh, it would be perfect in a media room or kid’s play room!
We were so excited to share pictures of the Global Views Artisan Media Cabinet from Keli’s home in Louisiana. They wanted something modern and unique to store their movies, electronic pieces and something that would work with their large flat screen.
At 70.5″ long, this piece was perfect and looks fabulous in their living room. I love your sofa fabric too!Thank you for sharing Keli!!
Although it’s pushing 100 most days here in Texas….I’m thinking about fire. I love coming home on a chilly day, grabbing a glass of wine and starting a fire! My husband is the outdoor type and is the “master” of our wood burning fireplace! This year, we plan to add an outdoor fire place / fire pit!
Fireplaces are a great place to really show your design style….modern, rustic, outdoor or sleek. Here are a few that caught my eye.
A FEW BEFORE AND AFTER IMAGES PROVE HOW MUCH OF AN IMPACT A FIREPLACE CAN HAVE ON YOUR SPACE.
BEFORE: Plain, boring and awkward.
AFTER: Updated, interesting and totally chic! I can’t wait to have this space photographed.
Going Coastal in the office? I’m not sure how functional this is but it sure looks cozy! I say cool.
Very interesting. I say weird. I don’t think I would want my bedroom to feel like a night club. BUT, this room does get a few cool points for being so tricky!
Cool and Weird…I love Lady Gaga’s go for it bold videos! Images: Bad Romance Video
This bench is just cool! Very unique in a Beetlejuice sort of way. I could see this in an outdoor space painted a funky color!
Yea, I’m going to have to go with Weird on this one. I’m sure this is a nightmare to keep clean.
Cool! Anthropologie used this recently in some of their window displays. I love the movement and texture.
Mmmm k? there are no words. The upside down house, even the dog gets one! As for the bathroom…really? How does that work?
LOVE!! VERY COOL! I’m a fan of anything pink, tufted and sparkly!
One of my favorite things to do…..dine out in chic restaurants or have a glass of wine with the girls in a fabulous bar! I am fortunate enough to live in Dallas where I have access to some of the most amazing restaurants. Of course I’m drawn to the places with fabulous furniture, good music and amazing chandeliers. Here are a few my favorite restaurant/bar images from Big D and from the rest of the world. Enjoy!
Hotel ZaZa’s Dragonfly Restaurant in Dallas, TX. You never know who you will see here, a great place to spot celebs.

The Rosso restaurant is situated in Ramat Yishay, a town in the valley of Yezre-el in the Northern part if Israel. The beautiful scenery of the Northern part of Israel, with its landscapes of green and red fields, covering the low hills, is a popular tourist attraction, inviting visitors to excursions, with quiet fields, and inviting places to rest in the shadow of oak trees.
