I am soooo excited to share the progress of this master bedroom. It started out as a one of the rooms that my clients wanted to plan for, but not move forward on just yet. Well, I’m really not sure how that changed but I am very happy that it did (wink wink Farah!!). We have been discussing the headboard for the room and knew that we wanted something grand, white/ivory and tufted. The bargain God’s must have been watching out for us because we snagged the headboard for 1/3″ of the retail cost!
This 6 1/2 foot high white silk tufted headboard completes the room and commands your attention as soon as you walk in. We are working on the windows and other final touches for the room as I type! I can not wait to have this room photographed!!
Let’s start from day one…..very standard
See ya builder’s standard! Fresh paint and a metallic wall paper will do the trick! The client choose this Antonia Vella White metallic wallpaper because it was chic, affordable and created the luxe look they wanted for the room.
Hellllooo Gorgeous!! The Ava espresso lacquer night stands are from one of my favorite resources, World’s Away! The lamps? I’ll never tell! And that Chandelier is much better than the boring ceiling fan. Now, we are working on the shades, drapes and bedding. I can’t wait to share more pics of the master and the rest of their home!!
I wanted to share the images of our fabulous new logo for Shop Ten 25. Rose at Bittersweet Design Studio has once again set us up with a logo that rocks. We are going crazy over here waiting for the site to launch. I hope to have the site up very soon!!!
I have been working on a new space and wanted to share a sneak peak of the progress. But first, I wanted to share the inspiration for the space. Kate Spade’s style is classic, elegant and just the right touch of girly girl! I spotted this look at the Downtown Dallas Neiman Marcus store and knew this was the direction I wanted to go for this project.
I hope to have the final images…with better lighting… in my hands in a few weeks. But, for now enjoy the iphone pics of this fabulous downtown loft apartment.
Not that I have a ton of free time on my hands but when I do, I find myself on Etsy. There are tons and tons of fabulous pillows, art pieces and jewelry. This past weekend I found a dandelion fabric clutch made of the fabulous Dandelion Clocks fabric that I fell in love with and snagged of course.
Here are a few of my favorites from Etsy & other sources around the design globe!
I LOVE these “wish” cuff links from propellers

Wikipedia says: A paperweight is an object designed to hold sheets of paper on a surface to prevent wind from blowing them away. Since this is an issue rarely encountered in modern offices, the term paperweight has taken on an additional connotation for a technical device which, having broken or failed at its original purpose, is now essentially worthless ( I strongly disagree) beyond the value of its physical mass. Purpose-made decorative paperweights are also widely produced and appreciated as pieces of art (rather than their actual use in holding down papers in a breeze), and are often exhibited in museums as examples of fine glass art.

I have always been fascinated by horses. Growing up on a farm with thoroughbred race horses and showing American Paint Horses during high school was such an amazing experience. Most of the decor in our home were horse themed but not as sleek as the modern pieces you can find today. We had brass rocking horses, iron horse head bookends and of course the needlepoint pillows with race horses on them. Over the past few years I have seen an increase of horses in art, lighting and other decor. I wanted to share a few of my favorites, Happy Friday!

Take a look at their beautiful items
I wanted to share a stunning before and after. The fireplace in my client’s new home was awkward and the tile surround was only put in place for the home to pass final inspection. On our very first meeting the fireplace was the topic of conversation. My clients lean towards a more modern eclectic style than the standard traditional style of the home. I can’t wait to have the room pulled together. Here are the before and afters.
A simple and easy “DIY” way to update and modernize your fireplace is to add glass instead of the typical fake log. Modern Rustic is one of the BEST sources for the “fire and ice” look and they also make custom aluminum and stainless steel surrounds. We are waiting on our custom aluminum surround to jazz up the overall look of this project.
