Acrylic is one of my favorite materials (other than mirrored pieces) to implement in my design projects. It can make a tiny space feel visually open and look larger than it actually is. Acrylic brings similar element to a room like mirrored pieces do. The both keep the light effortlessly moving around in a room and add plenty of chic. I love that acrylic, like mirror compliment all aesthetics.
We are currently in the beginning of our remodel and I am starting to pull furniture and fabric elements that we will need for each room. An acrylic four poster bed is on my wish list…but we will have to see how the budget lands. You know how it goes…and extra $500 here and another $1500 for that unexpected replacement pipe. So, we will see how it all shakes out. But, if you have been looking for a bed that will knock your socks off….I have pulled a few of my favorites below. How fab is the acrylic crib?!

I have to admit, I love clothes about as much as I love design but pulling the trigger isn’t easy for me. I do struggle with fashion daily, because I want to be cute, chic and stylish but I find myself gravitating towards many of the same exact pieces that treat me right and always make me feel pulled together when I’m short on time. Why do I feel like I can’t pull an outfit together as easily as I can pull together a fabulous design for a client’s room?
I am constantly moving around and need my outfits to to say “I can climb a ladder with out flashing anyone, get on the floor to layout samples without my bits showing and break a sweat during an installation while still look professional doing all of this!” I think you’ll be surprised to see that even though I love bold color….I like to keep it simple when it comes to outfits. I save the big drama looks for fun nights out on the town!

I wanted to share a few of my favorite pieces and looks that keep me pulled together on those long installation days as well as presentations days. If you follow me on Pinterest, you have probably noticed that I have a board dedicated to outfits and have most likely worn them…exactly! You won’t be seeing any pictures of me on the blog showing off outfits, but I do secretly wish I had one of the many awesome fashion bloggers make a look book for me. For now, I will just have to stalk them and stick with my favorite looks from Pinterest!
Here are a few of my favorite spring looks!
All white with a nude heal…yes please! I like to save this one for shopping and presentation days. I love these Articles of Society white skinny jeans….the price is amazing and I snagged a few pair to get me through the summer.
Pretty much my go-to look. I love a flowy and lightweight T and those shoes…I have them and I LOVE them! A great statement necklace, wrist stack and worn jeans make me feel like I can easily take on any task the day throws at me.
Another spring favorite. I love my denim jacket and wear it often!
Pretty pink, bold floral and happy little birds are no joke on this April Fools Day. I’m pretty much obsessed with Moissonnier’s pieces, they bring out the traditional side of me while still making my bold and color loving side smile!
Glam School indeed. One of our beyond gorgeous and stylish clients is on instagram as @lifeinlavender (you must follow for all things fashion and fabulous) looking Fabulous in those gorgeous gold leaf and pink velvet chairs we used in her living room! Her site will be up soon…and you know I will be sharing. Love having beyond fabulous and stylish clients!! #studioten25#prettyinpink #iminlovewiththis #getitgirl #girlcrush
While the trend for 2016 may be shifting to white, we still can’t get enough of black walls! Contrary to popular belief, small spaces can really benefit from going bold! We tend to gravitate towards darker paint or wallpaper on the walls in powder baths, like this gem we designed earlier this year.
These Dallas rooms from DHome Magazine have us wanting to paint it black!
There isn’t much to say here….
Because an Ashley Longshore Piece of Art is a must in every bachelorette’s fearlessly designed pad!!! Let me just hashtag a bit…

The acrylic leg trend is taking over and I am loving it!!! I have to admit, I am a bit obsessed but that is pretty easy for me to do. Dining chairs, ottomans and table bases are starting to pop up all over showrooms. Here are a few pieces that I spotted at the Dallas Market this week as well as a few of my favorite pieces from vendors!!
Acrobat Acrylic Table
Fulham Acrylic Bar Stool
Woodland Wonder Lamp
Massoud Centaur Sheepskin Bench
Teak Wood Side Table
Lucite Bar Cart
Floral prints are making a comeback, but these are not your frumpy florals of the past. Bright colors, digitally printed and watercolor prints are everywhere and beyond chic. We recently used a bold floral wallpaper on a client’s ceiling in their master bedroom and balanced the room by using the same floral pattern on the pillows and ottoman. Yes, florals are a feminine pattern but when used in the right mix they can be super chic. From furniture to fabrics, here are a few of my favorite new florals.

I love discovering new places to lunch with my friends. The Dallas Design District has really started to grow and with the addition of so many new restaurants, it makes working in the area much easier. El Bolero is one of my favorite new places in the Design Center, the mix of color and graphic patterns is just fabulous! Of course I had to snap pics of the floors, bold yellow bar stools and the funky patio outside! Makes me want to go back just to take in more of the interiors, and the food is pretty great too!
